Are you ready to participate in the 5th edition of Invasioni Digitali ? Starting from April 21 and until May 7, museums, villages, exhibitions and art places will literally be invaded by those who join the event: thanks to the use of digital tools such as smartphones and tablets, Italian treasures are often hidden or little known will come back to light and will have maximum diffusion on the web.
As every year, Startup Calabria will also be among the partners of the initiative and, according to the national slogan " Culture has no borders ", we will cross the regional borders for the first time to move to Basilicata. Firmly convinced that culture is the best way to overcome limits and borders of all kinds, not only physical but also mental, Sunday 30 April starting at 10:00 we will invade the splendid village of Brienza (PZ) to discover one of the most evocative places in Italy.
The idea of a digital invasion in Basilicata was born almost by chance, following the meeting with the volcanic Rocchina Adobbato , founder of the historic residence La Voce del Fiume . Rocchina is madly in love with her homeland and believes, like us, in the importance of enhancing little-known villages through initiatives such as Digital Invasions, events capable of involving the entire community at 360 degrees.
#InvadiBrienza , organized by La Voce del Fiume in synergy with our association, will be sponsored by the Municipality of Brienza and will see the participation of several actors eager to enhance such a characteristic village. In particular, during the Invasion, a tourist promotion video will be shot, entirely produced by Winfly , the management company of the Pisticci "Enrico Mattei" Airport. Winfly, aware that the development of Basilicata is linked, by the very nature of the Region, to a full tourist development, has decided to produce the video on the Digital Invasions of Brienza to let the general public discover the often little known Lucanian beauties.
But how will the invasion unfold in detail? In the company of the hostess and local guides, we will go to the discovery of the ancient village up to the imposing Caracciolo Castle. Among the goals of the invasion also the ruined part of the village, including the house of the jurist Mario Pagano, and an extra-urban stop up to the Church of the Madonna degli Angeli. At the end of the tour, at the historic La Voce del Fiume residence, all participants will be able to taste a selection of typical Lucanian products thanks to the support of Domenico Lopardo's Salumificio Genuino Burgentino and Cantina De Biase, a winery in Roccanova (PZ) renowned for the Grottino. The invaders will also be able to taste the award-winning liqueur " Ulivar - Liqueur with Calabrian Olives " fromOrganic Farm Santa Marina di Oriolo (CS).For the full Invasion schedule just have a look here . The appointment is for Sunday 30 April at 10:00 at Piazza del Sedile
